Manual Lymphatic Massage

Experience the soothing touch of Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), a gentle massage technique with various benefits: Enhances lymphatic fluid circulation Restores sensitivity to desensitized areas Facilitates waste removal through proper drainage Increases tissue oxygenation MLD is recommended for a range of conditions, including Lymphedema, Migraine headaches, Vertigo, Varicose veins, Arthritis, Tendinitis, Pre/Post-Surgical Procedures, and Constipation. This specialized massage promotes overall well-being and may offer relief from various health concerns.   MLD uses very light pressure (no more then 5lbs of pressure) and rhythmic circular movements. The pressure is typically gentle because lymphatic vessels are close to the skin’s surface and can be easily compressed. The massage usually starts at the neck, where the main lymph nodes are located, to clear any blockages and open up the main lymphatic pathways. The therapist then works down the body, focusing on specific areas where lymph nodes are concentrated, such as the armpits, abdomen, and inguinal crease (lower abdomen) .

Pre/Post Surgery Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Fibrosis Therapy

Prepare for your surgery with a Pre-Surgery MLD session, optimizing lymphatic circulation and eliminating any obstructions that could hinder lymph flow. Following your procedure, Post-Surgery MLD, can be performed within the first week, aids in reducing pain, swelling, and lymphatic fluid retention. Additionally, our Fibrosis Therapy is designed to address tissue thickening or scarring. It combines Manual Lymphatic Drainage, fascia stretching, and cross-fiber friction techniques to promote tissue softening and restoration. The therapist then works down the body, focusing on specific areas where lymph nodes are concentrated, such as the armpits, abdomen, and inguinal crease (lower abdomen).

Pregnancy Massage

Pregnancy massage, or prenatal massage, is tailored specifically for expectant mothers to address the unique needs and discomforts of pregnancy. Typically performed while the woman is lying on her side, the massage focuses on relieving tension in areas such as the lower back, hips, and legs. The therapist uses techniques that ensure the mother's comfort and safety, avoiding pressure points that could be risky during pregnancy. This type of massage aims to reduce stress, alleviate muscle aches, and promote overall well-being during the different stages of pregnancy.

Somatic Massage

Somatic massage is a therapeutic modality that integrates principles of neuroscience, body awareness, and trauma-informed care to address the relationship between the nervous system and musculoskeletal tension. Unlike traditional massage techniques that primarily target muscle groups, somatic massage emphasizes interoception, the awareness of internal body sensations, to help clients recognize and release patterns of chronic tension and stress held within the body. This method involves slow, intentional movements, guided breathwork, and techniques that support proprioceptive feedback, allowing the body to shift out of a sympathetic (fight-or-flight) state and into a parasympathetic (rest-and-digest) state. Somatic massage is particularly beneficial for individuals dealing with chronic pain, PTSD, anxiety, or those recovering from emotional or physical trauma. Each session is tailored to the client’s needs and paced according to their nervous system’s readiness, fostering a safe and grounded space for integrated healing.

Back Massage for pain management

Intra-Oral Massage for TMJ

Intra-oral massage for TMJ (temporomandibular joint) disorder is a specialized technique that involves massaging the muscles inside the mouth to alleviate tension and pain associated with TMJ issues. This massage targets key muscles involved in jaw movement, such as the masseter, pterygoid, and temporalis muscles. By applying gentle pressure and specific movements, the therapist helps relieve pain, reduce muscle tension, and improve jaw function. Key benefits of intra-oral massage for TMJ include: **Pain Relief: Reduces discomfort in the jaw, neck, and face. **Improved Mobility: Enhances the range of motion in the jaw. **Tension Reduction: Eases muscle tightness and spasms. **Headache Relief: Can help decrease the frequency and intensity of headaches related to TMJ. During the session, the therapist wears gloves and carefully massages the internal muscles of the jaw, ensuring the process is comfortable. This technique is effective for those suffering from chronic TMJ pain and dysfunction.

Red/Near-Infrared Light Therapy

Red and infrared light therapy, also known as photobiomodulation (PBM), works by delivering low-level wavelengths of light directly to the body’s tissues. These wavelengths are absorbed by the mitochondria “the powerhouse of your cells” where they stimulate the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the energy source that fuels cellular function and repair Wavelengths and Their Effects: *660nm (Red Light) Targets the surface layers of the skin, penetrating about 5-10mm deep. It’s ideal for promoting collagen production, improving skin health, and accelerating wound healing. *850nm (Near-Infrared Light) Penetrates up to 50mm into the body, reaching muscles, joints, and bones to reduce inflammation, relieve pain, and improve recovery. This versatile treatment is ideal for individuals experiencing: *Chronic Pain & Joint *Discomfort *Muscle Soreness & Fatigue *Post-Workout or Injury Recovery *Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, or Inflammatory Conditions *Skin Conditions such as Acne, Wrinkles, or Scarring *Stress, Tension, or Cognitive Fatigue It’s also an excellent option for those seeking non-invasive pain management or natural skin rejuvenation.
